PERFORATED METAL
A warm brass finish with the clarity of a perforated pattern. Specify the alloy, visible face and mounting detail together for refined screens, inserts and interior features.
PRODUCT OVERVIEW
Brass perforated metal combines a warm golden tone with precisely arranged openings for ventilation, screening and decorative transparency. The brass grade, sheet condition, thickness, hole size, pitch and solid margins should be defined together with the finished panel dimensions. Grain direction, visible edges and the alignment between adjoining panels are especially important where the metal forms part of a refined interior detail.
Typical applications include lobby screens, cabinet fronts, partitions, ventilation grilles and lighting features where surface quality is clearly visible. A representative finish sample should be used to approve tone, texture, gloss and acceptable variation before production. Because brass composition and service conditions affect forming and corrosion behavior, exterior, wet or chemically exposed installations should be reviewed against the actual environment.

MATERIAL SELECTION
A golden tone can complement timber, stone and darker metalwork. Carefully positioned perforations can give a small insert or large screen a consistent visual language.
Alloy choice affects forming and service suitability. Tarnishing and some corrosive conditions require attention; brass should not be presented as suitable for every wet or chemical environment.
Cabinet fronts, lobby features, partitions and ventilation grilles where finish quality is prominent. Confirm airflow or acoustic requirements independently of the decorative appearance.
TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Final dimensions and compatible combinations are confirmed against the approved drawing or mesh specification before production.
State the brass grade or copper-zinc composition, together with the required sheet condition.
Provide thickness, bend radii and any formed returns for review before ordering.
Agree hole geometry, pitch, orientation and the alignment across adjacent panels.
Submit dimensions, visible edges, fixing points and quantity for each panel type.
Define brushed, polished, natural or other requested appearance by an approved sample.
Common specifications are regularly stocked, while non-standard sizes, materials and finishes can be produced to order. Final quantities and delivery schedules are confirmed with the quotation.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Material, specification and commercial details are confirmed for the actual project.
No. Brass is principally a copper-zinc alloy; bronze refers to different copper-alloy families. Specify the designation, not just a color name.
The answer depends on alloy, exposure, finish and maintenance. Submit the environment before selecting an exterior specification.
Agree a sample and an acceptable variation range. Surface process, lighting and later exposure can affect perceived color.
Mark the grain direction and panel sequence on the drawing so these can be included in the finish review.
Provide alloy preference, panel dimensions, thickness, perforation layout, finish sample and quantity.
