PERFORATED METAL
A practical perforated steel option for covers, screens and enclosures. Define the zinc coating route alongside the hole pattern so exposed edges and later fabrication are not overlooked.
PRODUCT OVERVIEW
Galvanized perforated steel combines a practical steel base with zinc protection for covers, screens and enclosure panels. Sheet thickness, hole geometry, pitch, open area and solid fixing margins should be coordinated with the frame and final panel dimensions. The required zinc coating must also be treated as part of the specification rather than assumed from the word galvanized alone.
The order of perforating, cutting, forming, welding and galvanizing affects the appearance and protection of the finished component. Cut edges, drilled holes and fabricated areas should therefore be identified on the drawing together with any required repair or additional finish. Typical inquiries include equipment covers, ventilation guards, utility partitions and general enclosure panels, while safety guarding still requires a review of openings, supports and access distances.

MATERIAL SELECTION
Steel provides a familiar fabrication base, while zinc coating offers corrosion protection. A clear coating specification helps compare quotations on more than sheet price alone.
Cutting and fabrication can expose or disturb coated areas. Specify the finishing and repair approach; do not assume a fixed service life or universal suitability in aggressive environments.
Equipment covers, ventilation guards, utility partitions and enclosure panels. Safety-related guarding still requires an opening, access-distance and support review for the complete installation.
TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Final dimensions and compatible combinations are confirmed against the approved drawing or mesh specification before production.
Specify base steel and the coating requirement rather than using galvanized as the complete material description.
Provide the sheet thickness and any formed section details; confirm compatibility with the hole pattern.
Round, square, slotted or custom holes, with the required margins and mounting zones identified.
Provide panel size, bends and cut-outs, including which dimensions apply after finishing.
Agree when perforation, cutting, forming and galvanizing occur; identify any areas requiring repair.
Common specifications are regularly stocked, while non-standard sizes, materials and finishes can be produced to order. Final quantities and delivery schedules are confirmed with the quotation.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Material, specification and commercial details are confirmed for the actual project.
No indefinite protection should be assumed. Edge condition, nearby zinc, exposure and repair requirements need to be considered.
Both the desired finish and the fabrication details affect the choice. Confirm the actual route on the quotation.
Request a compatible paint system and surface preparation review; painting should not be treated as an unspecified extra step.
No. Compare environment, cleaning, coating maintenance and total service requirements before changing material.
Provide thickness, hole geometry, finished dimensions, fabrication details, coating requirement and quantity.
