WOVEN WIRE MESH

Copper Woven Wire Mesh

Copper woven mesh for specified screening, conductive and decorative needs. Start with the task: a shielding enclosure, insect screen and pest-exclusion detail each need a different opening and installation method.

PRODUCT OVERVIEW

Copper Woven Mesh Selected Around the Required Function

Copper woven wire mesh is made from intersecting copper wires in a defined plain or twill construction. Its reddish metallic appearance, electrical conductivity and selectable openings make it useful for both visible screens and functional components. Mesh count, wire diameter, clear aperture, roll dimensions, cut edges and the method used to retain or electrically connect the mesh should be specified together.

Typical inquiries include EMI or RFI assemblies, copper window and insect screens, decorative inserts, pest-control details and mesh for reviewed weep-hole applications. Stuff-it Copper Mesh is normally a separate flexible knitted filling product and must not be described as ordinary woven copper cloth. Shielding, pest exclusion and drainage performance depend on the complete opening, seam, fixing and installation detail rather than on copper material alone.

MATERIAL SELECTION

Why Specify Copper Woven Wire Mesh?

Key Advantages

Copper combines a distinctive reddish tone with electrical conductivity. Woven formats let the opening and wire size be selected for the intended screen or conductive assembly.

Considerations

A mesh sample alone does not establish shielding attenuation. Fine wire can deform, and exterior details must account for oxidation, retention and any required ventilation or drainage.

Best-fit Uses

EMI/RFI assemblies, copper window and insect screens, decorative inserts and reviewed pest-exclusion details. Stuff-it-style filling requests should be quoted as a separate knitted product when appropriate.

TECHNICAL INFORMATION

Specifications & Custom Range

Final dimensions and compatible combinations are confirmed against the approved drawing or mesh specification before production.

Copper & Construction

Specify copper designation and woven construction. Identify knitted filling mesh separately.

Mesh Reference

Reference mesh range: 4–200 mesh, with plain and twill constructions. Confirm the required combination.

Wire & Clear Opening

State wire diameter and clear opening. A mesh number alone is not a complete specification.

Format & Edges

Specify roll or panel size, cut edges and how the mesh will be retained or electrically connected.

Functional Acceptance

For shielding, define frequency and attenuation targets; for screens, define exclusion and airflow or drainage needs.

Supply & Packing

Common specifications are regularly stocked, while non-standard sizes, materials and finishes can be produced to order. Final quantities and delivery schedules are confirmed with the quotation.

FROM WIRE TO FINISHED WOVEN MESH

From Copper Wire to Task-specific Mesh

01

Identify the Task

Separate shielding, insect screening, decorative and filling requirements.

02

Match the Construction

Choose woven geometry or identify a separate knitted filling inquiry.

03

Define the Interfaces

Agree edges, frames, seams and any electrical contacts.

04

Set Acceptance

Confirm dimensions and the tests or samples required for the application.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Copper Woven Wire Mesh FAQ

Material, specification and commercial details are confirmed for the actual project.

Is Stuff-it copper mesh the same as woven copper cloth?

No. Stuff-it-style products commonly use a flexible knitted structure for filling gaps. Confirm that construction separately instead of ordering it by a woven mesh count.

Which mesh is suitable for EMI or RFI shielding?

Start with frequency, target attenuation and enclosure details. Aperture, seams, grounding or bonding and contact quality require system-level review.

Can copper mesh be used at weep holes?

Review the opening, retention and building detail so pest exclusion does not obstruct required drainage or ventilation. Do not pack a drainage path indiscriminately.

Will any copper screen stop rodents or insects?

No universal claim is appropriate. Opening size, wire strength, fixing and the target pest need to be specified for the actual detail.

Can you quote decorative copper screens as well?

Yes. Include the visible area, mesh reference, frame detail and desired appearance; natural color change should be discussed.
